If you suspect that a service on the netcup network is being abused — such as for spam, phishing, malware distribution, copyright infringement, or illegal activities — please submit a report using the guidelines below.

Required Evidence & Information
To ensure rapid and effective processing of your abuse notice, please provide as much relevant technical evidence as possible:
- Target Identifier: The exact IP address or domain name hosted on Netcup.
- Accurate Timestamp: Exact date, time, and timezone (UTC preferred) when the incident occurred.
- Full Email Headers (for Spam / Phishing): Complete, unedited MIME email headers.
- Log Excerpts (for Port Scans / Attacks): Firewall and server log entries showing source/destination IP, ports, and payload.
- Copyright Proof (for DMCA / IP Infringement): Proof of ownership and direct URLs of infringing content.
[!NOTE] Depending on the service architecture (e.g. unmanaged Root Servers), Netcup may not have direct access to customer servers. In such cases, your verified report will be forwarded directly to the customer with an obligation to remediate the issue within a specified deadline.
